For our summer expedition this year we decided to take 18 Explorer Scouts surfing, and booked with Surfing Croyde Bay. And what a great time they all had. We booked five morning lessons, and tuition was in small groups of 1 to 5. This really enabled the instructors to concentrate on every member of the group. By the second day all the Explorers had managed to stand on their boards. A great rapport developed between the Explorers and Instructors. We found everyone at SCB to be helpful and friendly, with the Explorers safety never in doubt. A fantastic time was had by all.

sorry this took so long, went to a robbie williams concert at the w/e in milton keynes .... so away from home.

My family loves the guys at surfing croyde bay. The teenagers like the laid back, amusing teaching style - which is so successful that every single child we've ever taken has stood up during their first lesson ! As a parent i like their emphasis on safety, and the fact that the teaching, care and attention continues throughout the whole lesson. at other schools
we tried once you were in the sea you were left on your own. We're so impressed with surfing croyde bay that we've personally taken almost 20 people there over the last 2 years and mentioned it to lots of our friends. I would recommend it to anyone, teachers, parents with children, teenagers, young adults and not so young adults. their teaching style is fun, safe and it works with all age groups - the youngest person we've taken was 10 and the oldest a friend who went on her 50th.

Hi Axel

I booked some lessons for my two sons (14 & 11) at Surfing Croyde Bay in July '06. They knew the basics of surfing but wanted to move on from the beginners stage. Surfing Croyde Bay were simply FANTASTIC, the tutors were young and friendly yet experienced. Their group ratio was small 5:1 and each tutor gave his or her 100% attention to their group, encouraging the beginners giving advice, continously pulling them into waves ( I speak from first hand experience as my sons had roped me into taking a few lessons also and though I was very apprehensive at first I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. And its given me some street-cred with my sons!!) As for the boys, by the end of the week they had learned a whole lot of new tricks on their boards from Simon,Adam,Carlo and the rest of the team. Thankyou all at Surfing Croyde Bay and we will definately see you again next summer.

Dear Sir,

I would like to say a huge thank you to you and your staff for an amazing day spent surfing at your centre. This was the first time we have surfed as part of our school residential trip to Devon, and consequently we were a little nervous. We brought a party of 36 children on a wet and windy day and you provided a level of care and consideration that immediately put our anxieties to rest. Everything had been thought of: a phone call a few days before to check on our specific needs, another phone call on the day to discuss weather and drop off location, transport to move us if the weather worsened, additional instructors of an appropriate age to enthuse the children, and the use of the village hall for lunch at no additional expense. Lunch was a real treat too, with everyone tucking in to delicious fresh pasties or baguettes; and we were accompanied by your staff that joked and chatted in a relaxed manner with the children.

The surfing proved to be the hi-light of our trip with many children citing this as their favourite thing ever! I have nothing but admiration at the way you dealt with us. We will use Surfing Croyde Bay again and I will encourage anyone coming in your direction to do the same. I am sure many children will be nagging at their parents to take them back.

Hello,

I would like to send my congratulations and thanks for the excellent Surfing Day you organised for the school children from St. Michael's.

Despite the poor weather conditions the day was voted a great success and the highlight of the week for most.

I felt a lot of thought had gone into your arrangements, covering all eventualities. I hope all the instructors were pleased with the time they spent with the children.

The food and venue for lunch were just right after such a good time in the water. Thank you for efficiently providing it all after all the wet-suits had been removed.

I send you best wishes for your future success, however I hope the weather is kinder to you, particularly when you have a party of school children.

Dear Nigel,

Hope this letter finds you well.

Just wanted to to write a short note to thank you and your crew for all your help and assistance on the SS06 Salomon Press Launch hosted by Surfing Croyde Bay in Septmeber 2005.

You made all the journalists feel extremely welcome and confident from the outset and as a result, I can honestly say, that I have never witnessed such a successful press event.

Please pass on my thanks to your team, in particular Axel, Scott and Robbo for their tips and patience!

We have recieved a message of thanks from almost all the journalists that came along, most saying they're hooked and promising to visit you guys again before xmas.
